Senplay's Founder and Manager - Zey

Zey founded Senplay after twenty three years in early years and primary education.

After a long stint as a nursery teacher and child minder, Zey has spent nearly a decade in a mainstream primary school supporting children with additional needs as a specialist higher-level teaching assistant. She became SEN team leader, supporting five teaching assistants delivering one-to-one support and learning. Zey also holds a degree in Emotional Care for Babies, Children, Young People and Families.

Based on her understanding of what families were telling her at the school gate, Zey could see there was a huge lack of informal play services for children with additional needs. Many soft play centres simply weren't safe, were too busy and over-stimulating, or weren't properly thought through for different sensory preferences.

Senplay is the answer. Zey aims to offer a nurturing space with different environments to cater to as many needs as possible. Her vision is driven by the understanding that inclusive and supportive environments not only help children thrive but also provide much-needed respite and support for families and carers.

Senplay is a privately run, non-government funded family business venture, created out of love, empathy, and dedication. It is a soft play centre specifically designed and tailored to cater to the needs of families and children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
