A Bridge Between Mainstream and Special Education
Senplay was founded by Zey, a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience supporting neurodiverse children in mainstream primary schools. As a team leader, she championed one-to-one support and personalised learning — always with the goal of helping every child feel seen, safe, and supported.
Zey also holds a degree in Emotional Care for Babies, Children, Young People, and Families, grounding her approach in both practice and compassion. Over the years, countless conversations with parents revealed a consistent theme:
'There were simply no play spaces that truly catered to the unique needs of neurodiverse children.'
Most soft play centres were overwhelming — noisy, chaotic, and not designed with sensory needs in mind. Worse still, too many children were in limbo: not thriving in mainstream education, not yet placed in specialist settings, or being homeschooled without real alternatives.
Zey saw the "corridor kids" — children who spent their days on the margins, unsupported and isolated.
Senplay is her answer.
A privately run, non-government-funded family business, Senplay was created out of love, empathy, and fierce dedication to inclusion. It is a calming, nurturing, sensory-rich space that bridges the gap between mainstream and specialist provision — offering structured play, emotional support, and meaningful connection.
Zey’s husband, Idris, is Senplay’s Creative Director. His design work — from the website to the interiors — brings beauty and function together, transforming Zey’s vision into a warm, welcoming environment where every detail supports a child’s experience. His belief in the mission has been instrumental in making Senplay the haven it is today.
Together, Zey and Idris have built more than a play centre.
They’ve built a community — one where children thrive, and families finally feel seen, heard, and supported.
We look forward to welcoming you to Senplay — where every child belongs.
